Trainee Administration Assistant – Lerwick Admin Office

Northwards Ltd, a leading provider of logistics solutions in the North of Scotland, is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to join our team at our Head Office in Lerwick.

This full-time position involves general accounts based administrative duties:

  • Reception duties including greeting visitors and answering phones
  • Responding to customer enquiries in a professional manner by phone and email
  • Input data into Northwards computer databases
  • Distributing invoices and other documents to customers
  • Processing cash sale payments
  • Administrative Filing
  • Sorting and distributing post

Ideal candidates will:

  • Be ambitious and hardworking
  • Have a good telephone manner
  • Have good communication skills
  • Be well organised and have the ability to multi-task and prioritise workload
  • Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Demonstrate the ability to work both individually and as part of a team

This is an interesting and varied role, which provides great experience to anyone interested in furthering their skills in an office based environment. This position is also open to opportunities for further qualifications.
