Northwards employs 120 staff across its network who live in the communities we serve and have a deep understanding of the challenges experienced by businesses located in the North of Scotland. Inverness is the point of receipt and despatch for cargo going to the Highlands postcodes and to Orkney via the Pentland Firth crossings, and for Shetland via Aberdeen. We also handle south bound traffic to Glasgow, all on a daily basis.
As part of the local team you will be taking calls from customers who are looking for quotes or wish to book freight into our network using our new transport management software. You will also be involved in route planning, supporting the drivers and processing of jobs through to delivery.
System training will be provided, however we are looking for a team player with good IT and communications skills and ideally some experience of the freight or haulage sector.
