We are looking for a skilled and dependable HGV Mechanic to join our team at the Shetland Workshop. This role involves servicing, inspecting, and repairing heavy goods vehicles and trailers for both internal fleet and external customers. You’ll play a key part in ensuring vehicles are safe, roadworthy, and maintained to high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out diagnostics, repairs, and servicing on a range of plant and vehicles, including HGVs
- Carry out statutory inspections
- Prepare for MOT tests
- Maintain accurate service records and promote workshop safet
What We’re Looking For:
- Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Engineering or Maintenance.
- Experience with commercial vehicles.
- Full UK driving licence (HGV Class 1 desirable).
- Strong fault-finding skills and mechanical knowledge.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
